“It’s been a delight here,” Thompson told viewers during KTTV’s 10 p.m. newscast on Tuesday (video above).
The station is planning to honor Thompson, who joined KTTV in 1990 from San Francisco’s KRON, in the days leading up to his final newscast on June 3rd.
Although KTTV decided not to renew Thompson’s contract, the veteran weathercaster always has his voice-over work to fall back on. Thompson’s voice has been featured on several TV shows including “American Idol,” “The Swan,” and “Paradise Hotel.”
