When WGN anchors Robin Baumgarten and Frank Holland tossed to feature reporter Ana Belaval for her “Around Town” segment, they probably had little idea they would leave viewers of the Chicago CW affiliate morning show wondering which was more entertaining, seeing a man hammer a nail into his nose or listening to Baumgarten freaking out about it. Watch the video after the jump.
The segment started out with Belaval saying, “I’m holding a nail and he’s holding a hammer. This never turns out good,” while standing next to Joe Diamond, a local magician.
Viewers watched Diamond at work while hearing things like, “It’s on TV!” or “Oh God! Come on,” and “Gross! Stop!” from Baumgarten back in the studio. By the time he pulled the nail out, Baumgarten had turned around with her back to camera and even Belaval had checked out. See the video inside.
