WGRZ Remembers Buffalo Native Daryl Hawks
WGRZ honored Chicago sports anchor Daryl Hawks in a story this week (video above), tracing his career back to the Buffalo.
Reporter Claudine Ewing spoke with Hawks’s older brother Harold, who still lives in Buffalo.
“He was 38 and was striving for the top,” Harold told Ewing. “This is very shocking to me and the family.”
Hawsks’s son, Daryl Jr., issued a statement to the NBC-affiliate, saying that the family will miss him “more than words can describe right now.”
