WGRZ’s Marissa Bailey Leaving Buffalo For Chicago
WGRZ anchor Marissa Bailey is leaving the Buffalo NBC-affiliate in January, according to Buffalo media reporter Alan Pergament.
“I was at a crossroads,” Bailey told Pergament. “I decided to look for new challenges and new opportunities. This is a risk because I’m leaving a job and a city I love.”
After five years at WGRZ, Bailey will follow her boyfriend to Chicago. She said she was “not at liberty” to talk about any potential opportunities she has lined up, but she has hired a Chicago-based agent and plans to look for work in television there.
Bailey anchors the 10 p.m. newscast on MyNetworkTV-affiliate WNYO, which is produced by WGRZ. She is also a reporter for the station.
