KTVT meteorologist Larry Mowry is determined to get Dallas viewers the news about the weather, no matter what it takes.

When a storm knocked out the power for almost an hour during the CBS affiliate’s 5 p.m. broadcast last night, Mowry took to Twitter to keep viewers informed — of both the weather and the station updates. “I’ll tweet my weather forecast to you as we are off the air right now,” he wrote. “Should be fun.”

Mowry followed up with Tweets about several severe thunderstorm warnings in the area, supplemented by updates on the restoration of the station’s power. He also answered Tweets from viewers, who were writing him to let him know when KTVT went back on the air for them. [h/t Lost Remote]
