WMUR, ABC News To Host New Hampshire Debate
WMUR, the ABC-affiliate in Manchester, is teaming up with ABC News to host a primetime Republican presidential debate in the days leading up to the New Hampshire primary.
Although New Hampshire has not set a date for the primary yet, the ABC News-WMUR debate will be held at 9 p.m.ET on the Saturday night before the voters go to the polls. ABC’s Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos will moderate, and the pair will be joined by WMUR anchor Josh McElveen.
In 2008, WMUR and ABC News presented back-to-back Democratic and Republican debates prior to the primary. “We are looking forward to producing another informative debate just days before the ‘First in the Nation’ primary and again providing New Hampshire voters with a critical look at the field of candidates,” WMUR president and general manager Jeff Bartlett said in a statement.
