WMUR Partnering with CNN for Debate Coverage
WMUR is once again partnering with CNN to cover a presidential primary debate in New Hampshire. The debate, which is scheduled for June 7, will bring together Republican presidential hopefuls. Joining WMUR and CNN in covering the contest will be local newspaper The New Hampshire Union Leader.
“WMUR is proud of its long tradition of producing Presidential Primary Debates,” said Jeff Bartlett, president and general manager of WMUR. “We are excited to partner with CNN and the Union Leader to continue our tradition in 2011.”
WMUR is a Hearst-owned ABC-affiliate based in Manchester, New Hampshire. The station teamed with CNN and The New Hampshire Union Leader in 2007 to host the state’s presidential debate. WMUR will be streaming the debate live on its website in addition to airing it on primetime TV.
