WNYW Hires Joel Waldman as Full-Time Reporter
Joel Waldman, who has been freelancing for Fox owned-and-operated WNYW in New York City since June, has been hired as a full-time investigative reporter at the station, according to the New York Daily News.
Prior to joining WNYW, Waldman was a reporter for KGUN, the ABC-affiliate in Tucson, where he notably covered the January shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. He has also been a general assignment reporter at WFOR in Miami and WPBF in West Palm Beach.
The New Jersey native started his career in television in 1996 as a producer for MSNBC, transitioning to an on-camera role in 2005.
