WUSA’s Angie Goff Set to Join Rival WRC in Washington, DC

Angie Goff, who has been the morning traffic and entertainment reporter at Washington, DC CBS affiliate WUSA since 2007, announced yesterday that she will join rival station WRC, the NBC O&O, this fall.

“Excited to announce I’m joining NBC Washington as the new weekend morning anchor,” Goff wrote on her Facebook page.

Goff was born in South Korea and moved to DC-suburb Herndon, VA, when she was a teenager. A graduate of George Mason University, she has previously worked at both KMEG in Sioux City and WIS in Columbia, SC as an anchor-reporter.

Goff’s Facebook and Twitter accounts have been flooded with well-wishes from viewers in the past day, prompting her to Tweet, “Overwhelmed with all the congrats! Thank you so much everybody! Remember to keep those story tips and ideas coming!”
