WWLP’s Barry Kriger Comes Home from the Hospital
Nearly a month after a car accident left him with “extensive injuries,” WWLP anchor Barry Kriger is home from the hospital, the station announced today.
“Many of you have sent get well wishes to Barry,” reads a statement on Springfield NBC-affiliate’s website. “Here at our 22News studios, we’ve received dozens of cards and letters for Barry. We’ll be bringing all of them to him today.”
Krieger, who has been with WWLP for more than 20 years and anchors the station’s 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. weekday newscasts, is expected to make a full recovery. The station plans to feature a report on his homecoming on the evening news tonight.
