We’ve had our eye on Tricycle since they taught us the word “dematerialize” back at AIGA’s Gain Conference in the fall. And back then, too, they were busy innovating the wasteful world of carpet samples–Tricycle’s Michael Hendrix and Bo Barber of Nood informed us that each sample cost us a quart of oil, and they were trying to do something about it.
So to help keep quarts of oil from stacking up in the trash, enter Ample Sample, Tricycle’s design contest that challenges you to make something beautiful out of those disposable little squares. Deadline is May 15, 2007, so check out all the rules and small print. OMG, we have the best idea ever: Area rugs for cats! Right?
