A Tour of Renzo Piano’s New ‘Modern Wing’ of Chicago’s Art Institute

Despite it not planning to open until mid-May of next year, there are already plenty of billboards and other signs going up all over Chicago for the Art Institute‘s new Modern Wing, designed by Renzo Piano. While we’re working hard to make sure we secure the extra special VIP press passes for the opening, they’re already starting to sneak a few select journalists into the unfinished building, including the Tribune‘s Blair Kamin, who not only put together this great piece on what to expect when it opens, but was there to assemble this video of the tour as well.
