LEGO Makes Child's Play of Frank Lloyd Wright Icons
"The LEGO product was one that the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation had considered pursuing for several years," said the foundation's Doug Volker in a press release issued by LEGO. "It was the vision, passion, and creative desire of Adam Reed Tucker to capture the essence of Mr. Wright's most famous buildings using the medium of the LEGO brick that brought this partnership into being." The Guggenheim LEGO set is selling for $40 ($36 for members) at the museum's store. Meanwhile, watch for the Fallingwater set to hit the market this August. Other buildings in the LEGO Architecture series include the Empire State Building and Chicago's Sears Tower. We've got our fingers crossed that LEGO teams up with another Guggenheim-affiliated architect named Frank for future sets. Recently on UnBeige: Email This Post |
