Ground Zero went from crazy contentious to crazy boring in the last year since Freedom Tower Round 1 (for trainspotters, Round Get Your Shinebox) was unveiled in December 2004. Last week assorted luminaries—Mayor Mike, David Childs, and Lisa Silverstein (of Silver Shalis fame)—gathered at Cipriani Downtown to see Round 487. The New York Times calls it the Washington Monument . The LMDC calls it a Beacon of Freedom. We call it as over as the Hilary/Lindsay catfight (you know you know it).
