Art Directors Club Selects Sixth Class of Young Guns
The Art Directors Club has announced its latest group of Young Guns, and this sixth cohort of 50 rising design stars was selected by a jury of 19 Young Guns alumni, including UnBeige buddies Chris Rubino and Stefan Bucher. With nearly double the number of entries from the previous ADC Young Guns competition in 2006, the judging was no easy task: the five-week process entailed each of the 19 judges individually scoring every entry through three elimination rounds.
Click “continued…” below for the full list of ADC Young Guns 6, a diverse group of designers that range in age from 23 to 30 and hail from 13 countries. Incidentally, nearly half of the winners are self-employed, either as freelancers or under a studio of their own founding. Check out their work—both personal and professional—at the ADC Gallery in Manhattan, which is hosting an exhibition of winning Young Guns 6 entries through September 18, when the Young Guns will be there to present and discuss their work.
