But first, while we download via the wireless to the interwebs, the James Beard Foundation Interior & Graphic Design Awards have just announced a call for entries.

This is what the awards are:

The James Beard Foundation Awards recognize outstanding achievement within the fine food and beverage industry. In their 16th year, the Awards honor culinary professionals including cookbook authors, chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, journalists, broadcasters, and restaurant and graphic designers in the U.S.

These are the people who make up the jury:

James Biber, Pentagram, New York City; Alexander Gorlin, Alexander Gorlin Architects, New York City; Brooke Hodge, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Noreen Morioka, AdamsMorioka, Inc., Beverly Hills; and, Bruce Turkel, TURKEL, Coconut Grove, FL.

These are the people who oversee the award's policies and procedures:

Entry forms are available at www.jamesbeard.org for The 2006 James Beard Foundation Outstanding Restaurant Design and Restaurant Graphics Awards, for projects executed in the U.S. and Canada. The Awards are open to any architect, interior designer, or graphic designer in North America for work completed since January 1, 2003. The deadline for entering is January 31, 2006.

Yeah. We're pretty much going to be forced to try every single restaurant. Wouldn't want to falsely nominate.
