Speaking of fashion, the big news here in Chicago (well, other than that little business about our governor) is that President-elect Barack Obama has chosen a designer to make his tuxedo for a day of inaugural balls come January 20th. He’s selected Hart Schaffner Marx, who are based out of Des Plaines, a northern suburb of Chicago, and who Obama has a past with, after they had put together a few suits for him during the campaign as well.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to create a wardrobe for someone as dynamic as President-elect Obama and to participate, in however small way, in our nation’s civic activities,” Brett Schenck, president of Hart Schaffner Marx told the Chicago Sun-Times.
