Comic Book Guy: ‘Hone Your Craft Whilst Wearing Pajamas’

On Wednesday, February 3, mediabistro.com kicks off a four-week online course in comic book and graphic novel writing. Taught by comics writer, consultant, and publicist David Seidman (whose credits include Simpsons Comics), the course will show you the entire comics-making process, from devising a proposal and writing word balloons to surviving Comic-Con International and handling Hollywood. By the end of class, you’ll have created a plot and script for a short comics story and be ready to impress even the most jaded holder of a master’s degree in folklore and mythology.
