David Peters Knows A Lot About Typography And Film Titles And It's Really Interesting
This is all from Saturday, but really, who reads blogs on the weekends??? We're reprising... We slipped in for the end of David Peters' talk on the typography of film titles, which we found utterly fascinating. For real. We made it in for the Barbarella title sequence (Jane Fonda slowly undressing out of her space suit) and saw the development of title typography through Superman (time travel), The Island of Dr. Moreau (horrific movie but Hulk-esque title credits), Hollow Man and Panic Room (both by LA's Picture Mill), Delicatessen. We're gonna get this guy to talk to us more, and then we're gonna post what he talked to us about.
BREAKING! They are talking about how the universe can't be beige. It's not beige. The universe is actually "latte." Hockenberry: Beige, which is last year's green. Dude, it's like they're just shouting out RIGHT to us!!! Email This Post |
