Don't Call it a Sale: Moss Premieres Ephemeral Online Warehouse Specials
As we surfed the Moss site, wondering if Martha Stewart would answer our seven questions if we bestowed upon her a bright pink Alessi Nonno di Antonio garlic press (warehouse online specially priced at $25), we got to wondering: which of Moss's wondrous items are most popular? "Tom Dixon's designs get the most attention these days," says Bret Pittman, guru of Special Projects at Moss. "We just started working with Google Analytics and Dixon items bring our website the most web traffic currently." Another top-selling designer is Maarten Baas, he of the clay furniture and charred chairs. So what's at the top of Pittman's wish list? (In case you, dear UnBeige reader, wanted to bribe him to designate our favorite Fornasetti Theme and Variations plate an online warehouse special?) "Personally, I love the new Leica cameras we've just brought on," he says. "The D-Lux 3 in particular...it's the perfect, practical digital camera with a great lens. The case is a throwback hard leather case like you just can't find anymore. It's beautiful." Email This Post |
