Countdown to New York Fashion Week

Photos: UnBeige
Now that the sartorially-obsessed half of Team UnBeige has returned from a week of reading imported periodicals on a suprisingly comfortable Willy Guhl-designed concrete lounge chair, the giddy anticipation of New York Fashion Week can commence! We’re counting down to the Friday morning kickoff with some highlights from the fall 2008 collections, shown last February in and around Bryant Park. Today we shine our autumnal spotlight upon Tracy Reese, the Parsons-educated designer with a flair for the feminine, a penchant for just the right amount of embellishment, and a sharp eye for prints. For fall, Reese infused her earth-inspired collection with an eye-popping range of saturated hues and patterns, including a trippy “azurite abstract” print (shown above, at center) and a crisp green that found its witty culmination in a photo print of blown-up blades of grass. For Reese’s full collection for fall, check out her website.
