A few weeks ago we told you about the Architectural League's dodgily open-ended call for "Architecture and..." and while we still don't have any takers for Architecture and Ashton (agreed, the whole MILF thing is kind of a turn-off), we're sure you're all just getting your proposals ready. In the meantime, the kids at the League have struck gold on their own with "Architecture and...LAUNCH PARTY...Featuring Architects...in Bands!" Nothing like a little delayed punctuation gratification.

We are looking for architects who lead secret lives as musicians, DJs, rock stars, what have you, to provide the entertainment for the evening's festivities. Do you dream of performing live before a fabulous and adoring crowd of architects and designers? If so, send us a demo CD to consider. Submissions should include a cover letter describing the band and 1 CD with no more than 3 tracks mailed or dropped off at the League office [457 Madison Avenue at 51st St--yes this is service journalism] by Monday, August 22, 2005.
