On the heels of the news that Jeff Koons will exhibit his work at Versailles, Gagosian Gallery (which represents Koons, among other art giants) has announced that it will again serve as a venue for one of the buzziest events taking place during New York Fashion Week. Last fall, the gallery was the setting for a showing of the clothing line designed by Damien Hirst (also a Gagosian artist) for Levi's. Come the February shows, in what sounds like a deal brokered in the midst of the heady art/design/celebrity/fashion mix of Art Basel Miami, the gallery will host the first runway show of Halston, the brand that was acquired in March by Harvey Weinstein's company (which is mulling a Halston biopic) and private equity firm Hilco Consumer Capital. The February 4th show will take place at Gagosian's 24th Street space and will feature the designs of recently appointed Halston creative director Marco Zanini, a former assistant at Versace.

No need to wait for February to see beauiful things at Gagosian. Today is the last day to catch the glorious exhibition of new paintings by Cy Twombly in the 21st Street gallery (definitely worth further procrastinating your holiday shopping for), while the uptown space offers up a show of recent collage works by such arists as Richard Prince, Mike Kelley, and Sherrie Levine, on view through January 26th.
