If we had money and/or a home, we'd be shopping at modernlink. Stopped in there yesterday during a mid-afternoon stroll (isn't that everyone's typical workday?) and were surprised to find a design collective hiding behind a pretty standard really storefront. Modernlink offers vintage Scandinavian design as well as Piet Houtenbos' own line of bamboo furniture crafted along the design aesthetic of our far-away neighbors to th north. Little tricks like file slots embedded into desktops makes made us wonder why no one had thought of it before. So go to 35 Bond Street, and buy us something pretty.
