Staying on this football/soccer kick (pun!), we found that Ping Magazine did a story recently all about the most important thing in the game: the ball (coming in second is "feet"). Ping, of course, is written by superhumans who were given the ability to create amazingly full and fascinating pieces on a daily basis because they were exposed to a radioactive laptop. The whole story is just one great thing after another, from history, to the different looks of balls, to ads, to more photos than you can shake a stick at (a habit you really need to stop -- people are beginning to talk). It's one of those things where you think you're at the end of the piece and it just keeps going into yet another burst of fantastico. You leave reading the thing thinking, "I now know exactly as much as I wanted to know about this subject and am leaving this site completely content." And if that isn't a ringing endorsement for something, we don't know what is.
