Green Your Gadgets (and Win Some Green) With Core77

Yes, CES is right around the corner, but Core77 is looking far beyond that, in two ways. Instead of just celebrating gadgets, why not celebrate greener gadgets, by entering Core77′s Greener Gadgets competition, to coincide with the Greener Gadgets Conference in New York City on February 1:
Greener Gadgets has partnered with Core77 to seek out design innovations for greener electronics. This design competition will engage established design firms, emerging designers, and design students to come up with new and innovative solutions to address the issues of energy, carbon footprint, health and toxicity, new materials, product lifecycle, and social development. The top entries will be showcased live at the Greener Gadgets Conference for judging by a panel and the audience, and awards will be given out at the end of the night.
Yes, your work will be judged live, on stage, by a panel of experts and audience members (that’s sure to serve up some Command X-quality chills). Prize money is $2500 for first place, $1000 each for second and third place, and all winners and notables will be published on Core77.com and Inhabitat.com. You can find the design brief and all additional information right here.
