But they’re sold separately! Harry Allen & Associates, the design firm that brought you that iconic porcine conversation piece/bank “cast from a pig that died a natural death” and a bookshelf made from resin-cast books has just added some new gems to its Reality series of existing products “borrowed with precision” by casting polyester resin in highly detailed silicon molds and inspired by Allen’s philosophy that “original form should no longer be the driving force in design.”
First up is Roller Stop, an old-school roller skate that can be used as a bookend or a doorstop, available in white or screaming green (above). Also new for 2008 from Allen are cast keychains, including a lucky rabbit’s foot and five vintage keys cast together. Perfect for the postmodernist who is always losing his or her keys!
