Hugo Boss Prize Finalists Announced (Haiku Special!)

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation has announced its list of six finalists for the 2008 Hugo Boss Prize, awarded every other year to an artist who has made an important contribution to contemporary art (past winners include Matthew Barney, Pierre Huyghe, and Tacita Dean). This year’s prize has been increased to $100,000, double the usual $50,000 award. Sure, Carol Vogel rounds up the nominees over at The New York Times, but we’d rather tell you about them with the help of that much underused expository device: haiku!
