The world's leading performing arts center—that would be Lincoln Center—will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year [cue cymbal flourish] and is looking to gear up for the big 5-0 by hiring a crackerjack new senior graphic designer. That's right, design fans, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, one of 12 organizations resident in the Lincoln Center complex (how many of the other 11 can you name?), is on the hunt for an exceptionally detail-oriented visual problem-solver to work on the design and production of advertising and marketing materials promoting Lincoln Center and its programs, which last year included everything from the New York premiere of a rare baroque opera featuring eight (count them, eight!) countertenors to a free outdoor concert by Roberta Flack to an interactive public art installation by Australian artist Lynette Wallworth. Bring your "quality portfolio" and knowledge of branding, but leave your stage fright at home.
