John Maeda Named RISD President

Maybe he was just really fed up with people criticizing the schnapps-fueled droid architectural style of its campus, but one thing’s clear, John Maeda will be leaving MIT’s leaky pastures for the Rhode Island School of Design, in his new role as president.
In this adorable video where he explains, quite eloquently, the importance of design and art, Maeda explains his choice, and why oh why, RISD is the place for him. More information in the press release.
