Lady Gaga’s Personal Homages to Architecture and Design Through Fashion

Let’s stay on celebrity talk on this writer’s fast and loose morning. Our friends over at Flavorwire were kind enough to send over a piece they’d put together trying to get to the bottom of where pop songstress Lady Gaga (a name that still makes us feel grumpy and old when we say it) gets the inspiration for her eclectic wardrobe. After thorough research, they’ve decided that she must be a design and architecture buff and her outfits are simply homages to humanity’s greatest structures and pieces of furniture. And we must say that it’s a pretty convincing argument, once you pair photos of Gaga next to work by Santiago Calatrava, the Campana Brothers‘ stuffed animal chair, and almost anything by Zaha Hadid (or course). For our own picks, we think it’s important to also include cues from television and film, namely The State‘s Otto Bimini underpants sketch and anything from Zoolander.
