Lots Of Small Lids, One Big Scandal

02_CoffeeCupLid.jpg

If blog = life and life = scandal, then, today, we’ve been remiss. Until now. We hesitate to delve into this one, as we’ve always championed hipsters, but it’s getting late and we’ve got plans. Turns out, according to gossip, that the coffee lids at LES fixture Ini Ani (where we’ve written half our ouevre) aren’t actually so much the brainchild of LTL (is it acronym day?) as they are a lovingly crafted artwork the firm received as a present, and flipped like a nasty piece of NYC (yes it is) real estate. While we can’t verify, taking homage ten steps too far is just not that unlikely in this so sordid profession. If anyone knows more about this than the twice-removed tipster, who certainly did not consider the PG-13-ness of the public internets, please, step forward. Clear our conscience. And theirs. Because without absolution, we can’t live. And if we can’t live, we certainly can’t blog.
