No Shanghai Surprise: frog design Staffs Up in China
China Design Now indeed! Our favorite amphibious strategic-creative consulting firm, frog design, is staffing up its China office, which opened last March and currently works with such clients as Disney, GE, Lenovo, and Microsoft. Joining frog’s Shanghai Studio from a nine-year tenure at Ogilvy & Mather is Ying Zhang (pictured at right), who will serve as frog design’s general manager and client partner for Asia. And lucky Zhang comes to the company just in time for the Shanghai launch of frog’s Design Mind Speaker Series, which next Friday (March 28th) tackles the topic of “Global Fusion” and how both Eastern and Western businesses are learning to navigate China’s rapidly evolving landscape. Hmm…does “leapfrogging over the competition” translate well to Chinese?
