Mark Daye Stirs Up Toronto
Michael Surtees has a great post up, linking over to a hot topic over at Torontoist: designer Mark Daye's "official-looking" signs posted throughout Toronto, asking people to become more aware of homelessness. It's an interesting story, and one you can pick up on at the Toronto Star, but it doesn't just stop with the local-designer-does-good angle, and that's where it gets all the more interesting. There's been something of a backlash, with a blue sticker placed on painted-over copies of Daye's sign. But really, either side of the story is really captivating, and like Surtees says, "Of all the graphic design student projects that are covered each year, I think there's something to be said when a major newspaper covers a project."
