Now here's an idea: in a city with more highway than greenway, where could you possibly squeeze in a desperately-needed park? A group of LA dreamers have proposed a 24-acre "freeway cap" that will stretch like a wide, lush overpass above the 101. The roaring, filthy artery is best known as the unsightly scar that bisects the heart of Hollywood.
Yes, New York has the High Line, LA has the Highway Line. Come on, we're trying our best.
