According to the Wall Street Journal, he's just purchased a 35-acre, 5,500 square foot estate in Warren, Connecticut from the former head of American Express for a cool $5.5 million, down from its original $7.35 million. The Journal has a 17 page slideshow of the place and it seems rather subdued and very Connecticut-y. Not that there's anything wrong with that, we're just figuring that it won't stay that way for very long, once Calatrava moves in and starts decorating.
