Speaking of Zaha Hadid, but in a much more positive light (you know how we hate to see those critics being mean to our favorite space queen), there's news that she has decided to expand her shoe empire by signing on to design a second pair, this time for Lacoste, which she debuted at the Frieze Art Fair and New York magazine has a handful of photos of. What do they look like? Do you even need to ask? Of course they look like they're from an outer space planet that is made entirely out of liquid mercury. And, following that, you'll really dig them a lot, but much like her alien-inspired furniture, you probably won't be able to talk yourself into believing that you're cool enough to get away with wearing them out in public (or on this planet). But beyond that, if anything, we really like the new Hadid/Lacoste logo -- just make sure you act quick, because only the first batch will likely include it, as we've just learned this from the IHT:

In March, 1,000 pairs of limited edition Lacoste-Hadid shoes will go on sale, followed by a 10,000-strong diffusion line in May.
