Reuters Photographer Suspended for Doctoring Images

Photoshop strikes again, yet this time it’s a little more serious. Photographer Adnan Hajj, who apparently has quite a reputation for blowing extra smoke into his images of war-torn Beirut, created the overdramatic photoillustration you see above. Reuters has yanked the image and suspended Hajj.

Even a non-designer could spot those sloppily-cloned plumes, and, if you look closer, on the left hand side, an entire building has been reproduced. Thanks to Kyle du Ford for the tip.

Update: Once again, bloggers broke the news.

Update: Mainstream media catches on, Hajj gets canned.

Update: Reuters finds another fake, pulls all Hajj’s photos.
