When we first met Bill Grant, we didn’t know he was an award-winning graphic and environmental designer, head of Grant Design Collaborative in Atlanta, or the incoming president of AIGA. We just knew he was a really, really good dancer. It was hot, there were fog machines, there was techno and–until about 4am–there was Grant. The next day, everyone was calling him “The Party Prez.”
When Grant’s not clubbin’, he’s got some great ideas about raising the value of design, and has been instrumental in producing the “Gain” conference and a program with Harvard Business School. His work has been recognized by pretty much every magazine that recognizes good work. We also hear he’s the first AIGA president not from NY or SF so we applaud the diversity.
Grant will be today’s guest on Debbie Millman’s radio show Design Matters. It’s on from 3-4 EST and it’s a call-in show! Ask Grant about his moves: 1-866-233-7861. Do it.
The show airs live here and here, or you can podcast it. In fact, go ahead and subscribe to the podcast. Millman’s got a remarkable design lineup and you won’t want to miss “The Bad Boys of Design III.”
