Speaking of Pallets

I posted earlier today about a great photo essay about shipping pallets.

Turns out that Ready Made Magazine recently used a battered shipping pallet for one of their MacGyver Challenges (wherein contestants take a cast-off object and repurpose it inventively).

The winner of this particular challenge was San Francisco chef Mike Yakura, who fashioned an “industrial bench” (pictured here) from the forlorn slats. (Watch out for splinters!)
