Stop Copying Me

The impeccably researched Ground Zero book Sixteen Acres turns out to have a couple skeletons in its cover closet. Greg Allen of greg.org gives a side-by-side comparison of the book’s cover and a friend of his’ invitation to some WTC event (totally the best parties around), and makes the case that a black-and-white-with-red-all-over graphic just doesn’t strike twice. Reminds us of a recent designobserver.com discussion about a student designer who claimed to have accidentally Barbara Kruger’d all over her work. Thinking problem.
