After the departure of editor Cathy Lang Ho (which we told you about a few weeks ago), the Architect’s Newspaper announces two staff changes: architecture critic Julie Iovine has been named executive editor and Anne Guiney is now New York editor:

Julie Iovine, veteran critic and writer on architecture and former New York Times reporter will be joining the paper as executive editor. The newspaper recently expanded into the West Coast by launching a California edition in February of this year and plans a future launch of a Midwest version based in Chicago. Editor Cathy Lang Ho to Leave the Architect’s Newspaper

Just a month after publishing the first issue of the California edition, Cathy Lang Ho is leaving her role as editor of the Architect’s Newspaper to return to a freelance career:

I’m proud to have started the newspaper with Bill Menking and Diana Darling, and I feel that we’ve accomplished a lot in the nearly four years we’ve been working together. To date, we’ve produced almost 70 issues, launched a California edition, and have laid the groundwork to launch a Chicago edition. I’m grateful for the support you have given the paper since the beginning, when the paper was just an idea, and I am proud to have had the chance to collaborate with many of you on articles that played an important role in distinguishing The Architect’s Newspaper from other publications.

AN senior editor Anne Guiney will assume Ho’s position as editor.
