That Banksy, He’s So Ballsy

Banksy, who is probably best known for hanging four pieces of his work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Museum, in one day, strikes again. This time with a pickaxe, which he plunged into one of those innocent red British phonebooths as if it had been slain on the streets of London. The “art terrorist” even issued a public statement claiming ownership of the deed. He rarely fesses up to his stunts.

The Evening Standard has the story, and the hilarious response from phonebooth manufacturer BT:

“This is a stunning visual comment on BT’s transformation from an old-fashioned telecommunications company into a modern communications services provider. Can we have one for reception?”
