The Met’s New Director, Thomas Campbell, Makes First Big Public Announcement Online

Perhaps in an effort to bring the Metropolitan Museum of Art into this world wide webbed universe of ours, or to fashion himself as the younger, cooler replacement for Philippe de Montebello, the Met’s new director, Thomas Campbell, has decided to release his first official statement in the new role on YouTube for all to see. They’ve also posted a transcript here if you have a thing against British accents and/or video of a guy standing in a hallway (which looks sort of weirdly green screened, if you ask us).
