Like we said yesterday, once the flood gates opened up on Renzo Piano‘s new California Academy of Sciences, you’d start to get overwhelmed with coverage of the place, which you’ve likely experienced now that you’ve been wandering around this internet we call home. But we return to it once more for, thus far, the best piece we’ve read on the place. Karen Steen, over at Metropolis, has put together a wonderful, comprehensive look at the new greener-than-green building, spanning three parts, “The Building,” “The Green Roof” (of course), and “The Engineering.” And each is terrifically long and thorough. We highly recommend canceling all of your appointments for the day, or even calling in sick to work, to read through it all. Well worth your time.
