H&M Names New Head of Design and More Industry Moves
As for other recent design-related moves and shakeups, here's are roundup: City: Eddie Brannan is the magazine's new creative director. Brannan, formerly creative director of BlackBook, takes over from Fabrice Frere, who has been named CITY's editor-at-large. Liz Claiborne: John Bartlett has been hired to design the Claiborne men's sportswear line, meaning that a hypothetical company Christmas party could include Bartlett, Isaac Mizrahi, and Tim Gunn. Thomas Taber & Drazen: Rick Rosenberg has joined the Denver-based ad agency as executive creative director. Rosenberg was formerly creative director at Campbell-Ewald. Tse: Design director Tess Giberson is leaving the knitwear company to focus on relaunching her own collection. Ames Scullin O'Haire: Mike Bourne has joined the Atlanta-based ad firm as creative director. A former vice president and creative director at Draft FCB, Bourne replaces Brian English. Vionnet: After high hopes for a re-reinvention of the history-laden fashion house in the wake of last year's departure of designer Sophia Kokosalaki, Marc Audibet has left after about eight months as head designer there. Moncler Gamme Rouge: Giambattista Valli is taking over from Alessandra Facchinetti as the creative director of the line. Keep us apprised of design-related developments, won't you?
