Tom Wolfe Takes the Stage

It would have been pretty cool to have been in New Haven on Monday. Not just because there was the big release party for this year’s Whippenpoofs album, but rather, to get to see Tom Wolfe talk as a guest of the Yale School of Architecture. He was joined by architect Peter Eisenman, with whom Wolfe had once shared a stage with before while they were both at Yale, arguing about modernism. Now they were “back at it again.” Unfortunately, there’s not a ton in the story about what exactly Wolfe talked about, or, possibly, he just rambled on, moving back and forth between literature and architecture. Either way, that would have been a pretty fun night, we think.
