Touring Cardinals Stadium, Admiring Pentagram

Because we’re home for the holidays and our boyhood home in Glendale, Arizona happens to be in the same place as the new Cardinals Stadium, we thought we’d pop in and take a tour of the mammoth Peter Eisenman-designed building. We also really wanted to check out all of the work Pentagram did with the stadium (they designed nearly everything printed, painted or otherwise adorned, which you might remember we reported on here and here). We loved all of Pentagram’s work, though we do recommend their PR person get on the phone right away and call the Cardinals’ management, because we asked the tour guide at the end of the hour and a half walkthrough, “Don’t you ever mention Pentagram? They did all the design work.” To which we were met with a blank look and a reply of, “Huh, no, I’ve never even heard of that.” Anyway, enough babble. On with a handful of photos of (what we presume is all) Pentagram’s handiwork:

And for this last one, we can’t tell if we should feel uncomfortable or not. We did when we first saw it.
