Interesting bit of interesting over at 30gms. They got to thinking about 10 Downing Street in London, where the Prime Minister does their politicking, and started looking around for info concerning just why the typography of the address on the door is so, well, clunky. Turns out they discovered that the late Alan Fletcher had an interesting theory, that the "0" is put at such an angle as to appear correct when you see it as you walk down the street, but the official government statement has something else to say about it as well; that it's just a duplication of the crappy job the original makers of the door did back in 1779. Huh.
