There is a small matter of price, but as you know, anything can be had in life if you’re willing to fork over dollars. In any event, Michaels Fabrics says it has the famed yellow embroidered fabric, 33 inches wide, for $500 a yard. That’s not cheap, but who can put a pricetag on owning a piece of history? Besides, yellow is likely to be in style for a while if the folks at Pantone are any indication. At 33 inches wide, though, you’re likely to need at least three yards for a dress. So that’s about the size of a mortgage payment or two, so we wouldn’t suggest going there unless you are financially equipped to do so. It’s probably more prudent to make do and find something similar at a local fabric shop.
